EPC for Solar PV: EPC 'D' Rating for full FITs

Up Energy are hard at work helping the Solar Photovoltaic Installers across the South West with their client's commercial EPC ratings. As from April 2012 all commercial buildings with PV installations now require an Energy Performance Certificate rating of 'D' or above to be eligible for the full Feed In Tariff.

The EPC rating can include the proposed solar installation in the calculation, but the certificate can only be lodged officially once the installation is complete.

Up Energy provides a unique service to installers whereby we can survey the building, provide a draft EPC, to give an indication of the rating, and re-run the EPC calculations using our exceptional 3D-modelling DesignBuilder software. We can give detailed advice on the best and most cost effective ways to achieve a D rating should it initially fail to reach this target.

We can even survey a building and verify whether it requires a commercial EPC or not (such as some agricultural buildings).
