EPC Legislation Update:

A tightening of Commercial EPC enforcement is expected to take place from 1st July 2011, earlier than had previously been expected.

The proposed changes to the Energy Performance of Buildings (Certificates and Inspections ) (England and Wales) Regulations 2007 (The EPB Regulations) are to include clarification on when a commercial EPC is required, ensuring that to avoid the risk of a substantial fine the seller or landlord must have an EPC in place before marketing the property.
