SAP (Standard Assessment Procedure) or OCDEA (On-Construction Domestic Energy Assessment) as it is often known, is the approved calculation method used to provide analysis of a domestic 'new build' properties' predicted energy consumption and CO2 emissions rate. SAP calculations are required to ensure compliance with Part L of the Building Regulations.
Using approved software, we are able to undertake SAP calculations for new dwellings, as well as conversions and extensions of existing ones. As qualified assessors we can provide you with a Predicted Energy Assessment (PEA) at design stage that can be submitted direct to Building Control. Upon completion of the building work we can update the model with any necessary changes and provide you with the finalised and lodged EPC (Energy Performance Certificate).
It is advisable to contact us at an early stage so that initial checks and calculations can be carried out prior to formal submission of documentation to the local authority.
We can also provide an EPC (Energy Performance Certificate) on newly built dwellings regardless of whether we carried out the initial SAP/OCDEA calculations at design stage.
