Non-Domestic EPC Taunton
Nearly all commercial properties require a non-domestic EPC when they are sold or let, however there are a few exceptions so do contact us and we would be happy to advise.
Fully qualified level 3, level 4 and level 5 in house energy assessors
A commercial EPC is designed to give the prospective occupant an idea of how energy efficient the building will be. This is based on annual CO2 emissions and looks at heating, hot water, lighting and thermal elements such as glazing and insulation. As part of our service we are able to advise cost efficient ways to improve the EPC rating and make the cost of renting a building more desirable to prospective tenants.
In Taunton and the surrounding towns we have surveyed vast types of commercial buildings from small retail shops to large supermarkets, warehouses, doctor surgeries, care homes and offices and offered advice on their EPC rating.
The uptake in Taunton for the Feed-in-Tariff has been high and we have helped many solar panel and renewable energy installers with their EPC requirements for a D rating. If a building is not achieving a D rating needed for the higher tariff we can use our experience to advise on the most practical and cost effective methods to improve the Energy Performance Certificate rating.
For a few non-domestic buildings it is not possible to produce an accurate EPC, and if this is the case we may be able to produce an EPC exemption letter to assist in your FiT application. Our in-house EPC assessors are fully qualified and insured.
