BREEAM (BRE Environmental Assessment Method) is a widely used assessment method for buildings. This sets the standards for best practice in sustainable design. Established criteria and a scoring system are used to allocate credits under a variety of different categories. Credits are totalled to provide a final rating from PASS to OUTSTANDING. Key credits that our experienced energy assessors can help you with are: BREEAM Hea 04, Ene 01, and Hea 01.
We can undertake various assessments that form part of the BREEAM process to assist you in gaining the necessary credits to achieve the required BREEAM rating. It is advisable to contact us as early in the design stage as is feasible.
We can undertake the thermal modelling calculations required for the available credits also in the Health and Wellbeing section. In BREEAM 2011 and previous versions this credit was under BREEAM Hea 03.
Improving upon the Target Emission Rate (TER) that forms part of the SBEM calculations and final EPC rating is critical to achieving the multiple credits available in the Energy section of the BREEAM assessment.
We are able to complete the daylighting calculations required to achieve credits in the Health and Wellbeing section.
