Energy Assessments for Mechanical & Electrical Engineers

Mechanical and electrical engineers occupy a unique position in the energy compliance process — often responsible for specifying the heating, ventilation and electrical systems that determine whether a building passes or fails its energy calculations. Getting the specification right from the outset is far more efficient than redesigning systems late in the project to meet compliance targets.

We work alongside M&E engineers across Devon, Cornwall and Somerset on both residential and commercial schemes, providing SAP and SBEM calculations, thermal modelling and overheating assessments that reflect real system specifications rather than notional assumptions. The earlier we're involved, the more useful we can be — helping you model the impact of different heating strategies, ventilation approaches and renewable technologies before the specification is fixed.

For completed buildings, we carry out EPCs and Display Energy Certificates across all building types and sizes. We hold Level 5 accreditation for commercial EPCs — the highest available — meaning we can assess any building regardless of complexity.
